The self-aggrandizing “Pharma Bro” known for hiking up the price of an AIDS drug has thrown his political support behind a man with another giant ego: Donald Trump.

Martin Shkreli, the 33-year-old former CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals, said on Twitter Thursday that he would vote for the presumptive Republican nominee in his likely general election matchup.
“I haven't been called by the Trump camp. I support him vs. Hillary,” he said, adding that the brash billionaire should pick an experienced vice presidential candidate.
Shkreli, who is currently awaiting trial for securities fraud, said later that “all you people who don't like trump are jealous, stupid and poor! don't make me laugh!”
“And if you are employed by media you are worthless.”
It remains to be seen how Trump will react to Shkreli’s support, as the real estate tycoon has previously called him “a spoiled brat.”
“That guy is nothing. He’s zero. He’s nothing. He ought to be ashamed of himself,” the candidate said in September.
Shkreli responded to the slights in a Vanity Fair profile, pointing out that his own parents are immigrants and ““[Trump] inherited wealth! F--k him. And I thought we could be friends.”
At one point, he donated $2,700 to Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders, though the socialist rejected it and donated the money to an HIV/AIDS clinic.
But now “Pharma Bro” is back on the Trump train, with his rationale appearing to center on a desire to watch the world burn.
“We have to make this choice every four years. And for me he is the most entertaining choice,” Shkreli, who said he earlier was a fan of Jeb Bush, told his fans during a webchat.
The conversation early Friday saw the embattled entrepreneur emulating his preferred candidate by showing a love of attention and speaking off the cuff.
“I’m always cheering for a huge recession, global mayhem,” he said, commenting on his personality.
However, he admitted that he mostly supports Trump because he hates Clinton, who he called “soulless.”
“For me it’s mostly about spite. I really just don’t want Hillary to win.”
