| British brand targets 50 per cent hybrid power for its range within six years.
McLaren has reaffirmed its next-generation hypercar could be a fully-electric green machine.
The British brand has confirmed it will build a battery-powered prototype for its next Ultimate Series – the name for the company's top-range of performance cars – as it pushes development of electric motors and batteries.
Although the company stopped short of confirming the Ultimate Series EV would enter production as a replacement for the sold-out, $2million P1, it will at least be built and tested before 2022.
