| Within the space of 20 minutes on Wednesday night, Salim Mehajer's rather bad day got considerably worse.
The Auburn deputy mayor and property developer, who spent his day dealing with three separate court matters, did not attend the Auburn council meeting on Wednesday. So he was not present when councillors resolved that he ought to consider resigning from the council "in light of the continuing public outrage".
Then the council voted to rescind its $6.5 million sale of a municipal car park to the 29-year-old.
