A 29-year-old shoe shop employee from Britain has decided he’s had enough of the Greek debt crisis and is crowdfunding to help Greece meet its IMF repayment of A$2.3 billion.

Thom Feeney’s crowdfunding page on IndieGoGo, called the “Greek Bailout Fund” has already raised over €460,000 from 29,000 people in just two days.

“All this dithering over Greece is getting boring. European ministers flexing their muscles and posturing over whether they can help the Greek people of not. Why don’t we the people just sort it instead?,” Feeney says on his page.
