| The death of a teenage motorcyclist during a high-speed police pursuit was not the fault of the officers who gave chase, a coroner has found, despite claims by the youth's family that the pursuit was dangerous and unwarranted.
William James Robson-Pearce, a 16-year-old learner rider, died on February 18, 2013, when he clipped a concrete traffic calmer and slammed into a fence post on Queen Street, Muswellbrook.
Coronial findings handed down on Tuesday following an inquest into the teenager's death show that the crash occurred just 44 seconds after two officers from the NSW Highway Patrol began their pursuit.
