Parents have expressed their anger over an episode of a popular children's TV show that showed a framed image of a topless woman.

Oggy and the Cockroaches, a French animated comedy series, which airs on Nickelodeon's TV channel NickToons, had to be pulled off the air in the United States.

The busty lady appears in the background wearing nothing but a pair of tiny bikini briefs.

NickToons has removed the show from its website as well as its schedule, but other episodes are still scheduled to air in the US.

It is unclear whether the show will be removed from the air in Britain.

Furious parents took to social media to complain about 'boobgate'.

An upset father told TMZ that after his child spotted the breasts on the show, he was forced to have a chat about anatomy with his eight-year-old son.

"Wait, so the father was concerned about the boobs in the background but not the filth that his kid was watching? I mean, the characters were poisoning each other and lit each other on fire! But you're worried about cartoon breasts? Smh, get your priorities straight," the Daily Mail reported Selina Fraley saying.
