| In the milky light of a Dubai morning, magazine editor Kerrie Simon-Lawrence is defacing her cover girl, Jennifer Lopez. She draws large circles in biro to demonstrate the problem areas - and what it took to fix them. That cute little black crop-top baring the tummy, that needed an extra button. J-Lo was allowed to keep a hint of midriff - "a teeny tiny bit" - but her opaque leggings have been blocked in. What looked like a bikini bottom has grown into a pair of respectable hot pants. And of course, the boobs have been flattened.
Miranda Kerr's boobs had to be flattened, too, and her hemline dropped. The younger Kardashian, Khloe, only made the cover after they'd thickened the fabric of her dress and airbrushed her trademark pneumatic chest. It looks a bit less sexy, a bit more like a pink soccer field, but it doesn't really matter. The combination of big, dark hair and the Kardashian name is circulation gold in this neck of the woods.
