LOL: ‘I Am a United States Fuckin’ Ranger & This Guy Is Not!’: Things Get Heated When Two Vets Confront Man Wearing Military Clothing

A new video posted online shows a pair of veterans confront an individual they say has recently been walking around a California college posing as an Army Ranger.
Published to YouTube Wednesday, the footage appears to capture Army Veteran Kristopher Vieira and an ex-Army Ranger confront an unidentified individual allegedly strutting Ranger, E.O.D. and 101st Airborne tabs — all while wearing an E-8 rank.

The confrontation appears to begin at San Joaquin Delta College when the two veterans confront the individual over an alleged uniform violation.
“You graduated Ranger school?” one of them asks.
“Yeah,” he replies.
The two veterans then ask him to present his identification. He claims that he doesn’t have it.
“According to A.R. 670-1 having your ID is part of your uniform,” Vieira says.

The confrontation then escalates.
“I had four brothers die with this f***in’ Ranger tat on their arm,” the individual wearing a dark shirt adds. “I would appreciate it if you took that off.”
“Why do I have to take my uniform off?” the individual wearing the allegedly fake uniform replies.
“Take the goddamn tab off,” the individual in a dark shirt says.
“You do realize that the 101st is not a Ranger unit?” someone offscreen adds. “You do realize that the 101st is not an E.O.D. unit?”
At this point, someone asks for the veterans to leave the man in military clothing alone, asking why he is bothering them.

“Because I am a United States f***in’ Ranger and this guy is not,” the man wearing the dark shirt passionately answers. “I had four brothers who died with this goddamn tat on their arms. And he’s wearing it and he never earned that motherf***er. That’s why.”
Vieira, who uploaded video of the confrontation to YouTube, was later arrested by campus authorities for confronting the man in military clothing. He was reportedly charged with disturbing the peace and making threats against the man.
“(Vieira) approached him on several occasions and verbally went after him,” Delta police officer Jim Bock told KXTV. “He’s been counseled on each occasion to stop. There are proper ways to handle these issues.”

According to authorities, the man in military clothing insists he served. Further, they told KXTV that it is not illegal to wear a uniform as long as the intent while doing so is not to obtain certain benefits.
Nevertheless, Vieira told KXTV that doing so is wrong.
“It strikes a nerve when someone goes around faking that uniform. It’s very disrespectful,” Vieira said.
