he L.A. City Council unanimously voted Tuesday to ban e-cigarette use, also known as "vaping."

The new regulations would ban the smoking of electronic cigarettes in public parks, most work sites, certain beaches, restaurants, bars, and night clubs.

Prior to the unanimous vote, the council held a very emotional debate which included deep concerns from citizens, experts, and the councilmen themselves.

The next step for the regulations will be approval from Mayor Eric Garcetti.
