Earlier in the month, Dora Ozer was found stabbed to death in Turkey. Dora worked from her home as a sex worker because transgender people and men are not allowed to work in licensed brothels. According to news reports, her alleged killer (a client) has been apprehended.
Just two days later, Swedish sex worker and activist Jasmine was stabbed by her former partner, a man the courts believed was a better caregiver to their children despite his history of stalking and physical abuse.
