| The next time a toddler asks to play with your smartphone, you might want to think twice.
A 14-month-old girl in the US went on a shopping spree on the eBay app on her father's phone and ended up buying a 1962 Austin Healey Sprite.
Her father, Paul Stoute of Portland, Oregon, was surprised to later receive an email from eBay congratulating him on his purchase and requesting payment for the transaction.
"I actually thought it was a phishing email – one of those where people try to steal your information, that kind of thing," he told ABC News. Advertisement
But it wasn't a scam – his baby daughter had indeed made the purchase for $US242 ($A264). As the price suggests, the car requires a lot of work, although a Sprite in good condition can fetch a considerable amount of money.
