The UK arm of supermarket chain Costco is selling a full-scale F1 replica with in-built racing simulator technology for the princely sum of £89,999.89 ($139,800).

The replica simulator has a high-end Intel Core i7 processor, three 23-inch monitors and a surround sound system with a sub-woofer mounted behind the driver’s back for extra vibration realism.

Other realistic items include the quick-release steering wheel, electronically adjustable pedals, Pirelli F1 show tyres, Brembo or AP Racing brakes and composite carbon fibre body materials.

According to the site, the simulator “is made to order” and “you can have the shell in any colour of your choice”. So you can conceivably up-spec your model and add racing livery, be it a classic Ferrari red scheme or black and gold Lotus look - or perhaps something more individual.
