| The IT security professional who the Australian Federal Police said was a self-proclaimed leader of international hacking ring Lulzsec allegedly penetrated a NSW council website.
Matthew Flannery, 24, appeared before Sydney Central local court on Wednesday for a brief mention that lasted less than five minutes. He was apprehended on April 23 and charged with three hacking offences.
Flannery didn't enter a plea on Wednesday but court documents show a summary of his case that say he has been charged with three offences that relate to the hacking of Narrabri Shire Council's website. Matthew Flannery.
Narrabri is located approximately 518 kilometres north west of Sydney.
