Dubai's supercar-laden police car fleet seems set to reach even more exclusive levels.

Just a couple of weeks after adding a Ferrari FF and a Lamborghini Aventador to its fleet, comes reports out of the Middle-East that an extremely rare Aston Martin One-77 is to be the latest purchase.

Although the arrival of the Aston Martin cannot yet be verified, website, emirates247.com, is suggesting the Aston Martin will be unveiled this week along with a Bentley Continental GT and Mercedes SLS to go with the newly-arrived Aventador and Ferrari which now sit alongside other police vehicles such as a Chevrolet Camaro SS, a Dodge Charger and a BMW 5-Series.

A picture surfaced on the internet at the weekend claiming to show an Aston Martin in Dubai police colours and it has been claimed the supercar is a "Q" Edition model, one of only seven built from the 77 Aston Martin One-77s. That 7.3-litre V12 beast is capable of 0-100 kmh in 3.5 seconds and costs a whopping NZ$3.5 million.

If the Aston Martin purchase reports are correct, we wonder what remains on the Dubai police force's shopping list - a Bugatti Veyron, the new LaFerrari or even a McLaren P1 perhaps.
