For one group of Brisbanites the summer’s heatwave is the perfect cover for an eye-brow raising act they’ve been performing for years – riding the city’s trains, pantless.

Sunday’s Brisbane No Pants Train Ride 2013 is the fourth time the city’s Improv Everywhere group joined with flash mob fans worldwide for the sake of some synchronised smile-raising dack-dropping.

The New York-born idea sees seemingly random passengers boarding trains or subway cars at separate stops dressed in everything but their pants - a feat perhaps more remarkable in the middle of a Manhattan winter, but nonetheless not something you’d see in Brisbane every day.
