| Police uncovered a haul of cocaine worth roughly $350,000 during a raid in Deakin yesterday.
General duties police had executed a search warrant relating to domestic violence charges at a home in Deakin yesterday.
Police received information that prompted them to obtain a Drugs of Dependence warrant.
They canvassed the local area and widened the search around the property, and soon found a haul of cocaine at a ‘‘concealed location’’. Advertisement
Over one kilogram of white powder, with a suspected street value of $350,000, was found, as was a ‘‘significant’’ sum of cash.
Detective Sergeant Shane Scott said the seizure was made possible by methodical investigation and help from the public.
‘‘With the help of the public, we searched for and located evidence we strongly suspected was somewhere nearby,’’ he said.
