| An ISAF soldier has been shot dead by an "alleged member" of the Afghan police in eastern Afghanistan, the NATO-led force says in a statement.
It is the second deadly so-called "green on blue" incident of the day in the insurgency-wracked country, after two British soldiers were shot dead in the southern province of Helmand.
One in six of the 90 foreign soldiers to have died in Afghanistan in 2012 has been killed in so-called "green-on-blue" attacks by Afghan security personnel, significantly raising tensions between NATO forces and their local colleagues.\
The US-led NATO force is training Afghanistan's own units to take over national security by the end of 2014, allowing foreign combat troops to withdraw after a costly and lengthy war against the Taliban insurgency.
