Last week, women’s website iVillage started counting down the best states to live in if you happen to be a woman. We shared the five best states for women to call home. Looking at key areas such as health care, wages and education, iVillage collected data from myriad sources — including the National Women’s Law Center, National Partnership for Women & Families, the 2010 U.S. Census and the National Network to End Domestic Violence — to rank all the U.S. states in terms of female-friendliness. Now iVillage has continued the countdown, and it’s reached the bottom of the list, which means it’s able to name the states that are the worst places for women to live across the U.S.
