Norway attacks: Details emerge about Utoya camp shooting

Most serious act of violence that has happened in Norway since the end of World War II 0722norwayattackscampsh

Norwegian Police confirmed the massive bombing in downtown Oslo this afternoon is linked to a shooting at a political youth camp west of the capital, though authorities declined to speculate on who was behind the attacks or what their motives might have been.

Police arrested the gunman who opened fire about 5 p.m. on campers, killing at least 10. “We can confirm that a person is arrested, and we believe that he has had dealings with both events,” said Sveinung Sponheim, Norway's national police chief.

Knut Storberget, the country’s justice minister, said police were still investigating the man’s background but confirmed that he was a Norwegian national.

RECOMMENDED: Norway attacks: the latest terror strikes in Western Europe

Norwegian Radio cited a witness who said the gunman spoke Norwegian and described him as tall and blonde. Mr. Storberget said it was unclear if the man was acting alone.

Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg remained defiant in the face of the attacks and said any guilty parties would be brought to justice.

“We will find the guilty and hold them responsible," he said at the press conference. “No one will bomb us to silence. No one will shoot us to silence. No one will ever scare us away from being Norway.”

Both events are likely to prompt soul-searching in Norway, and many citizens are likely to suspect Islamic militants, says Iver Neumann, a research fellow at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI).

“Norwegian forces are currently involved in two wars, Afghanistan and Libya. Parts of the Norwegian media participated in the Danish caricature campaign [of the prophet Muhammad] in 2005. We know that Al Qaeda has put Norway on a list of potential targets,” says Mr. Neumann. “There will certainly be a debate about Norway’s relationship with Islam. And there will be a debate about the level of security we afford to our leaders.”

Norwegians are in a state of shock after a powerful explosion in Oslo’s government quarter. Police have confirmed that seven people are dead and more than a dozen were injured in the attack, which damaged the prime minister’s office and the oil ministry.

Prime Minister Stoltenberg was not near the site of the blast and was unharmed.

The shooting took place about an hour later on the island of Utoya, where news reports said a man disguised as a police officer fired upon campers. The governing Norwegian Labor party organized the camp and the prime minister was expected to visit the camp on Saturday.

Roughly 550 youths were attending the camp and witnesses called the scene chaotic after the shooting. Several camp-goers fled into the woods in a panic while others dove into the lake in which the island sits and attempted to swim to shore.

In Oslo, Reuters described seeing a burned, mangled car parked near one of the buildings. Police cordoned off a large swath of central Oslo and are asking people to stay clear of the area and to limit their use of cell phones.

A 32-year-old Norwegian suspect has been arrested after at least 17 people were killed in two attacks in Norway.

At least seven people died in Oslo after a huge car bomb exploded close to buildings which house the offices of Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg.

A further 10 were killed when a man dressed as a police officer opened fire on the island of Utoya, near the capital, where a youth meeting of the ruling Labour Party was taking place.

The suspect being held in connection with both attacks has been named in media reports as Anders Behring Breivik.

An anonymous police official said the suspect was arrested in Utoya and appears to have acted alone in the attacks.

He added he did not think the attacks were "linked to any international terrorist organisations" but seemed to be the work of a "madman".

Norway's TV2 claimed the suspect has links to right-wing extremism, without disclosing its sources.

An eyewitness reported seeing between 25 and 30 bodies on the island.

Police have confirmed that 10 people were killed, but said that was a preliminary figure which they expected to rise.

Undetonated explosives were found on the island after police carried out a search.

"We are a small country, but a very proud one," he said.

"Nobody can bomb us to be quiet. Nobody can shoot us to be quiet. Nobody can ever scare us from being Norway."

One Norwegian man was arrested after the incident - he was described as being tall and blond. Sky sources said he was shot and wounded during the arrest.

Police said they suspected the 32-year-old was linked to the bombing in Oslo because of descriptions they had been given.

Sky's senior news correspondent Ian Woods is in Oslo and said that the island is only a 30-minute drive from the city.

He said that although police would not confirm whether other people were involved, it was possible the gunman had worked alone as there was a 90-minute gap between the two incidents.

Jorgen Benone was on the island and said he saw people being shot by the man - who appeared to have a rifle.

He said he saw people jumping into the water to try and save themselves, but he thought that "many lost their lives trying to escape".

"I was terrified for my life - I thought of all the people I love," he said.

The Mayor of Oslo, Fabian Stang, said he would not have believed Norway could be attacked.

He said he wished he could have been on Utoya island: "To stand in front of the young people and ask the gunman to shoot me instead."

Norwegian journalist Kadafi Zanan said police had sealed off the area and were only letting families onto the island.

Mr Zanan said that people in boats were searching in the water for those who were still missing.

Norwegian police said they feared there could also be explosives on the island.

Witnesses said the gunman might have had a pistol and an automatic weapon.

Police told people in the Norwegian capital to stay away from the city centre and asked them to only use mobile phones when necessary.

They also warned them to avoid large gatherings and to stay away from public buildings.

Borders out of Norway were closed within minutes of the attack.

This was not an attack on something more vulnerable such as a railway or a crowded shopping mall, this was an attack at the heart of the Norwegian body politic.

At least seven people were killed in the bombing - with 10 seriously injured.

The explosion was outside the building that housed the offices of the Prime Minister, although he was not there at the time.

Mr Stoltenberg said that police had advised him not to give details of where he was when the bomb exploded.

The finance ministry and the offices of Norway's biggest tabloid newspaper were also nearby.

Craig Barnes lives in Oslo and said that he was shocked at what happened.

"It is a very nice, safe place to live," he said.

"Norwegians are very friendly and I think everyone gets on.

"I think this is going to change a lot of views now. There will be questions regarding safety."

British Prime Minister David Cameron said he was outraged by the attacks.

"I have offered Britain's help, including through our close intelligence cooperation," he said.

"We will work with Norway to hunt the murderers who did this and prevent any more innocent deaths."

US President Barack Obama also offered his condolences.

He visited Oslo in 2009 to receive the Nobel Peace Prize and said he fondly recalled his welcome by the Norwegians.

"Our hearts go out to them and we will provide any support we can," he said.

Holy shit, 80 dead!!!!!

Police say at least 80 people were killed in a shooting spree at the youth camp of Norway's Labor Party.

Police director Oystein Maeland told reporters early Saturday they had discovered many more victims after initially reporting the death toll at 10.

Maeland couldn't say how many people were injured in the shooting, however there are fears more bodies may yet be found in the water.

Hundreds of youth were attending the summer camp organised by the youth wing of Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg's Labor Party on the island of Utoya.

Manifesto from Norway suspect plots European 'civil war'

A rambling, 1,500-page manifesto purportedly written by the suspect in Friday's bloody terror attacks in Norway lays out right-wing extremist views and vows that a "European civil war" will lead to the execution of "cultural Marxists" and the banishing of Muslims.

While the title page of the document says "By Andrew Berwick," the writer goes on to later to identify himself as Anders Behring Breivik, the suspect in the Norwegian terrorist attacks.

The document, which is part political diatribe, part confessional and part action plan, details Breivik's background and his plans to commit Friday's attacks. It also contains various photos of him.

"If you are concerned about the future of Western Europe you will definitely find the information both interesting and highly relevant," the author writes, adding later that the work took him nine years to complete.

CNN has not been able to independently verify that the document was written by Breivik. But police told the Norwegian newspaper VG that the document is "linked" to Friday's attacks.

Breivik is charged in an Oslo bombing and mass shooting on Utoya Island that left at least 92 people dead.

Geir Lippestad, who identified himself as the suspect's lawyer, told Norwegian broadcaster TV2 that Breivik believed the attacks were "horrible" but "necessary," and would explain himself in court Monday.

The manifesto includes photos that appear to match those of the suspect, some of which had been posted on his Facebook page and several never-before-seen images of the same man. The author leaves clues about his family and background, and also indicates that English is his "secondary language."

The document is titled "2083: A European Declaration of Independence," a date that the author later explains is the year he believes an European civil war will end with the execution of cultural Marxists and the deportation of Muslims.

This "civil war" would come in three phases, he predicts. The first runs through 2030 and includes "open source warfare, military shock attacks by clandestine cell systems (and) further consolidation of conservative forces."

Between 2030 and 2070, he calls for "more advanced forms of resistance groups (and the) preparation of pan-European coup d'etats." The final stage features the deposition of Europe's leaders and "implementation of a cultural conservative political agenda."

The author states that he was moved to action dating to "my government's involvement" in NATO's 1999 strikes during the Kosovo campaign, claiming this wrongly targeted "our Serbian brothers (who) wanted to drive Islam out by deporting the Albanian Muslims back to Albania."

He also criticizes "my government's cowardly handling of the Muhammad cartoon issue" -- a reference to the Norwegian government's apology for the nation's private newspapers having repeatedly published the controversial cartoon. Another reference blasts Norway, home of the Nobel awards, for awarding a peace prize to former Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.

"The situation is just chaotic," he writes, noting that "thousands of Muslims" are coming into his country annually. "These suicidal traitors must be stopped."

The author delves into great detail about his bomb-making experiments, including a theory that one should purchase a farm so that purchase of large amounts of fertilizer -- which can be used to make bombs -- is less likely to be noticed.

Oddmy Estenstad, an employee at a Norwegian agricultural cooperative, told CNN that Breivik bought six tons of fertilizer from her company in May.

"Be extra careful when researching for bomb schematics (fertilizer bombs), as many terms will trigger electronic alerts," he writes, one of several tips that include using an "anonymous laptop and browse free to your local McDonalds" in order to "avoid ending up on any watch list."

Besides hands-on instructions, the document also functions as a running diary. It also includes references to his relatives' sexual indiscretions, entries on some of his friends' personal lives, and his own off-and-on steroid use.

From July 2 on, though, the author becomes more business-like and complains that going off his testosterone supplements had ramped up his "aggressiveness." He then digs up his guns and prepares the bombs. It all leads up to July 22, the date of the Norway terror attacks.

"The old saying 'if you want something done, then do it yourself' is as relevant now as it was then," he writes. "In many cases; you could do it all yourself, it will just take a little more time. AND, without taking unacceptable risks. The conclusion is undeniable.

"I believe this will be my last entry. It is now Fri July 22nd, 12.51."

Lawyer: Norway terror suspect will 'explain himself' Monday

The suspect in the bombing and mass shooting in Norway believed the terrorist attacks were "horrible," but "in his head (they) were necessary," a man who identified himself as the suspect's lawyer told Norwegian broadcaster TV2.

Geir Lippestad told TV2 late Saturday that he represented Anders Behring Breivik, who was arrested Friday after twin terror attacks that left at least 92 dead.

Breivik "is ready to explain himself" in a court hearing Monday, Lippestad said.

CNN unsuccessfully attempted to contact Lippestad.

While they have only arrested one suspect, police in Norway have not ruled out the possibility that someone else may have been involved in the explosion in Oslo and a shooting at a youth camp on Utoya island

Norway Massacre Suspect A 'Dexter' Fan

His golden movie star looks make him the most unlikely of mass murder suspects but that's exactly what Anders Behring Brevik is, according to Norway authorities.

Most serious act of violence that has happened in Norway since the end of World War II Rex_OSLO2C

Now RadarOnline.com has uncovered that Brevik's Facebook page listed Dexter as his favorite TV show.

Dexter is the cult hit Showtime series starring Michael C. Hall as a serial killer!

Breivik, a 32-year-old Norwegian native, is alleged to have gone on a killing rampage Friday. He has now been charged with brutally slaying at least 85 people, most of them children, on the island of Utoeya, plus another seven in a bomb blast in Oslo.

Oslo Suspect Admits ‘Facts,’ not Guilt, in Massacre

The Norwegian man charged with attacks in and near Oslo, killing almost 100 people, has admitted “to the facts” of the case, the police and his lawyer said on Sunday, and claims to have acted alone in a strike eerily foretold in a detailed manifesto calling for a Christian war to defend Europe against the threat of Muslim domination.

He targeted the Norwegian Labor Party's next generation of leaders - YaY!

HE IS a man of vision. Anders Behring Breivik did not kill just any group of teenagers. He targeted the Norwegian Labour Party's next generation of leaders.

Most serious act of violence that has happened in Norway since the end of World War II Art-br3-420x0

Every year since 1974, teenagers interested in left-wing politics had gathered at the summer camp on the idyllic island of Utoya to play, debate and meet political leaders. This is where the party shaped its idealistic young. The Prime Minister, Jens Stoltenberg, remembers it as "the paradise of my youth".

Mr Breivik, the man who has admitted he slaughtered at least 86 of those young people and seven more in the Oslo bomb blast in what is the bloodiest day of Norway's peacetime history, has told his lawyer the killings had been "gruesome but necessary". He said he is willing to explain what he has done, and why, when he appears in court for a custody hearing today.
Advertisement: Story continues below
The young campers at Utoya were everything mr Breivik disliked, not just politically but racially.

The young campers at Utoya were everything Mr Breivik disliked, not just politically but racially.

The explanation is likely to involve racial hatred and a twisted sense of nationalistic mission.

The Oslo police chief, Sveinung Sponheim, told reporters Mr Breivik had confessed and will co-operate with the hearing but said he is not accepting criminal responsibility.

Police have not ruled out accomplices, and last night six people were briefly detained and later released after an armed raid at a property in the east of the country's capital. Reports suggest officers were trying to access chemical containers at the address.

Most mass killers are crazed; Mr Breivik, according to a manifesto he wrote on the internet, also had a political framework. In Norway his attack is being seen not just as a slaughter of innocents but as an assault on racial tolerance and the consensual values of "the Scandinavian way".

Norwegians are appalled not just by the scale of the bloodshed but by the careful preparations leading up to it. "This thing on the island is truly sickening because the calculation which appeared to go into it is truly evil," Erik Olsen, 44, told the Herald.

Mr Olsen had mistakenly thought he was at the centre of Friday's violence. A public servant in the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, he works opposite the 10-storey building that houses the prime minister's offices in the centre of Oslo. At 3.26pm on Friday he heard a large, clear crack, like an immense champagne cork popping. It became a deep boom as the soundwaves radiated out, he learnt later, shattering windows blocks away.

It felt to him like the building jumped. His window exploded inwards and a wardrobe on the other side of the office fell down. When he reached the corridor outside, it was full of rubble and clouded with smoke and dust. He says it was then he recognised the look of this: it was the September 11, 2001, look.

He and others made their way downstairs and into the street. Buildings looked as if their facades had been scraped off. "Everything was jagged and hanging loose … It looked like those pictures from New York." Others have described bloodied bodies on the ground and torsos hanging out of windows. Seven people died and 30 were injured. But that afternoon reports emerged about Utoya, and Mr Olsen started to recognise the extent of the carnage: "It became apparent that we were the sideshow."

It appears the car bomb was a distraction, a decoy. It also provided a ploy for Mr Breivik to disarm his initial victims and bought time for him to carry out his plans on the island.

Mr Breivik's internet diary suggests he had been planning the attack for nearly two years. He had bought a property outside Oslo and registered a business growing vegetables. He bought six tonnes of fertiliser, a key ingredient in bomb-making.

Police believe he planted the car bomb and then drove a van to the edge of the mainland and took a ferry to Utoya.

There, many of the 600 youngsters were gathered in or around the main building, anxious for news about the bombing in the city. Mr Breivik was dressed like a policeman. He called out for them to gather around, he had news. And then he began to shoot them.

Some friends of Lisa Marie Husby, 19, had gone to greet him. Then she heard gunshots: "It was chaos and people were screaming 'Run! Run! Run for your life!'"

She turned and fled the other way. "My friends came with me and we ran into the forest for about 500 metres with the man and the gun running behind us. We got to this cabin in the middle of the wood and then he turned and went back."

Inside the cabin she lay under a bed with suitcase on top of her listening to more gunshots. The man came back and started shooting through the doors. She switched her mobile to silent and lay still, terrified that if he heard movement he would break in. After he left, three of her friends decided to run back to the main building. "I haven't seen them or heard them now … everybody outside the main building was shot."

A boy told the BBC that Mr Breivik was a methodical hunter. He checked out tents and shot their cowering occupants. Twenty or 30 were shot as they tried to swim away: "The weapons were so powerful that the jet of water was very high."

Witnesses told Norwegian news agencies the gunman sprayed bullets into corpses, seeking out any who were still breathing. "It seemed he was enjoying it," Magnus Stenseth, a youth leader, told the newspaper VG. "He walked around the island as if he had absolute power."

The killing spree went on for nearly 90 minutes while the police response was delayed. They were dealing with the aftermath of the car bomb and had trouble getting a helicopter and boats.

At the weekend, police pulled 20 bodies from the water. Dozens of others were scattered around the water's edge, covered in blankets. Yesterday a mini-submarine scoured the depths for eight or so still missing. The current death toll from the island is 86. It is expected to rise.

A criminal psychologist who profiles killers for British police and was the expert adviser for the television series Cracker has speculated that Mr Breivik was a well-disciplined man with a "slow-burn" rage against society.

Ian Stephen told London's Telegraph that Mr Breivik's background suggested "a very egocentric, narcissistic and disciplined man" likely to believe he was always right.

Mr Breivik is 32 and lived with his mother, who neighbours say doted on him. His estranged father said he was in shock.

''I was reading the online newspapers and suddenly I saw his name and picture,'' the pensioner told a Norwegian newspaper from France, where he now lives. ''It was a shock to learn about it. I have not recovered yet.'' He claims to have had no contact with his son since 1995.

Mr Breivik did not shoot himself afterwards, as many mass killers do, Dr Stephen said: "It's as if he takes satisfaction from seeing the results, and might take pleasure from being interviewed by police and getting to explain his beliefs."

A professor of criminology at Birmingham City University, David Wilson, agreed: "This is not somebody who is ashamed of what he did."

Others look not to the personal but to the political for explanations. Mr Breivik saw Norway's immigration policy as lax. He apparently hated Muslims, left-wingers and the country's political establishment.

He had previously been a member of the conservative Progress Party. The Progress Party has strengthened its position on the back of rhetoric about "sneak-Islamicisation". It demands tighter immigration rules, whereas the centre-left government supports multiculturalism.

The young campers at Utoya were everything Mr Breivik disliked, politically and racially. The New York Times reported that many victims were the children of immigrants from Africa and Asia who had begun to stake out a greater role in Norwegian society.

Politicians have said the massacre must not be allowed to damage democracy.

A pertinent observation of Bernard Shaw, from the preface to Major Barbara, (quoted at length for context).

CHRISTIANITY AND ANARCHISM

Such is the false position from which neither the Salvation Army nor the Church of England nor any other religious organization whatever can escape except through a reconstitution of society. Nor can they merely endure the State passively, washing their hands of its sins. The State is constantly forcing the consciences of men by violence and cruelty. Not content with exacting money from us for the maintenance of its soldiers and policemen, its gaolers and executioners, it forces us to take an active personal part in its proceedings on pain of becoming ourselves the victims of its violence. As I write these lines, a sensational example is given to the world. A royal marriage has been celebrated, first by sacrament in a cathedral, and then by a bullfight having for its main amusement the spectacle of horses gored and disembowelled by the bull, after which, when the bull is so exhausted as to be no longer dangerous, he is killed by a cautious matador. But the ironic contrast between the bullfight and the sacrament of marriage does not move anyone. Another contrast--that between the splendor, the happiness, the atmosphere of kindly admiration surrounding the young couple, and the price paid for it under our abominable social arrangements in the misery, squalor and degradation of millions of other young couples--is drawn at the same moment by a novelist, Mr Upton Sinclair, who chips a corner of the veneering from the huge meat packing industries of Chicago, and shows it to us as a sample of what is going on all over the world underneath the top layer of prosperous plutocracy. One man is sufficiently moved by that contrast to pay his own life as the price of one terrible blow at the responsible parties. Unhappily his poverty leaves him also ignorant enough to be duped by the pretence that the innocent young bride and bridegroom, put forth and crowned by plutocracy as the heads of a State in which they have less personal power than any policeman, and less influence than any chairman of a trust, are responsible. At them accordingly he launches his sixpennorth of fulminate, missing his mark, but scattering the bowels of as many horses as any bull in the arena, and slaying twenty-three persons, besides wounding ninety-nine. And of all these, the horses alone are innocent of the guilt he is avenging: had he blown all Madrid to atoms with every adult person in it, not one could have escaped the charge of being an accessory, before, at, and after the fact, to poverty and prostitution, to such wholesale massacre of infants as Herod never dreamt of, to plague, pestilence and famine, battle, murder and lingering death--perhaps not one who had not helped, through example, precept, connivance, and even clamor, to teach the dynamiter his well-learnt gospel of hatred and vengeance, by approving every day of sentences of years of imprisonment so infernal in its unnatural stupidity and panic-stricken cruelty, that their advocates can disavow neither the dagger nor the bomb without stripping the mask of justice and humanity from themselves also. Be it noted that at this very moment there appears the biography of one of our dukes, who, being Scotch, could argue about politics, and therefore stood out as a great brain among our aristocrats. And what, if you please, was his grace's favorite historical episode, which he declared he never read without intense satisfaction? Why, the young General Bonapart's pounding of the Paris mob to pieces in 1795, called in playful approval by our respectable classes "the whiff of grapeshot," though Napoleon, to do him justice, took a deeper view of it, and would fain have had it forgotten. And since the Duke of Argyll was not a demon, but a man of like passions with ourselves, by no means rancorous or cruel as men go, who can doubt that all over the world proletarians of the ducal kidney are now revelling in "the whiff of dynamite" (the flavor of the joke seems to evaporate a little, does it not?) because it was aimed at the class they hate even as our argute duke hated what he called the mob.

In such an atmosphere there can be only one sequel to the Madrid explosion. All Europe burns to emulate it. Vengeance! More blood! Tear "the Anarchist beast" to shreds. Drag him to the scaffold. Imprison him for life. Let all civilized States band together to drive his like off the face of the earth; and if any State refuses to join, make war on it. This time the leading London newspaper, anti-Liberal and therefore anti-Russian in politics, does not say "Serve you right" to the victims, as it did, in effect, when Bobrikofl; and De Plehve, and Grand Duke Sergius, were in the same manner unofficially fulminated into fragments. No: fulminate our rivals in Asia by all means, ye brave Russian revolutionaries; but to aim at an English princess-monstrous! hideous! hound down the wretch to his doom; and observe, please, that we are a civilized and merciful people, and, however much we may regret it, must not treat him as Ravaillac and Damiens were treated. And meanwhile, since we have not yet caught him, let us soothe our quivering nerves with the bullfight, and comment in a courtly way on the unfailing tact and good taste of the ladies of our royal houses, who, though presumably of full normal natural tenderness, have been so effectually broken in to fashionable routine that they can be taken to see the horses slaughtered as helplessly as they could no doubt be taken to a gladiator show, if that happened to be the mode just now.

Strangely enough, in the midst of this raging fire of malice, the one man who still has faith in the kindness and intelligence of human nature is the fulminator, now a hunted wretch, with nothing, apparently, to secure his triumph over all the prisons and scaffolds of infuriate Europe except the revolver in his pocket and his readiness to discharge it at a moment's notice into his own or any other head. Think of him setting out to find a gentleman and a Christian in the multitude of human wolves howling for his blood. Think also of this: that at the very first essay he finds what he seeks, a veritable grandee of Spain, a noble, high-thinking, unterrified, malice-void soul, in the guise--of all masquerades in the world!--of a modern editor. The Anarchist wolf, flying from the wolves of plutocracy, throws himself on the honor of the man. The man, not being a wolf (nor a London editor), and therefore not having enough sympathy with his exploit to be made bloodthirsty by it, does not throw him back to the pursuing wolves--gives him, instead, what help he can to escape, and sends him off acquainted at last with a force that goes deeper than dynamite, though you cannot make so much of it for sixpence. That righteous and honorable high human deed is not wasted on Europe, let us hope, though it benefits the fugitive wolf only for a moment. The plutocratic wolves presently smell him out. The fugitive shoots the unlucky wolf whose nose is nearest; shoots himself; and then convinces the world, by his photograph, that he was no monstrous freak of reversion to the tiger, but a good looking young man with nothing abnormal about him except his appalling courage and resolution (that is why the terrified shriek Coward at him): one to whom murdering a happy young couple on their wedding morning would have been an unthinkably unnatural abomination under rational and kindly human circumstances.

Inside his world: the diary of a brilliant anti-leftist exterminator

Anders Behring Breivik's diary, written in English, details his meticulous planning in the 82 days leading up to the attacks. These are extracts.

Mon May 2 I drove up to the farm with all the equipment and gear/clothing I needed. I spent most of the day moving and getting my equipment and gear into place.

Sun May 8 Failure is not an option for me. I continued my search on methods for the purification of [bomb ingredients] online.

Wed May 11 When I returned from the southern town later that day, I saw two military 12-man teams, armed to the teeth, just 2000m south of my farm. The largest military base in the country is just a few kilometres north-east of my farm and their territory extends almost all the way down to my property. They have notified all their neighbours, me included, that they are conducting a large military training session to prepare a new division of soldiers for the war against the Taliban and al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.

Sat May 14 It's the Eurovision finale today. I just love Eurovision …! :-) It's a lot of crap music but I think it's a great show all in all. My country has a crap, politically correct contribution as always. An asylum seeker from Kenya, performing a bongo song, very representative of Europe and my country … In any case, I hope Germany wins!

Thu May 19 It's essential to create as much goodwill you can from the neighbours. Use any opportunity to generate goodwill from them. This goodwill will be returned indirectly by them not probing and investigating. If you get a visit from neighbours, be polite and friendly, offer sandwiches and coffee, unless it will jeopardise the operation.

Sat May 21 Went to the capital to pick up a few parcels … On my way home to the farm I noticed what I believed to be a civilian police vehicle south of the southern town … As I came closer to the farm I noticed what I believed to be another civilian police car … What should I do if I was about to be SWAT raped by a six or 12-man team? I didn't have any weapons available as they were all inside the main house. Should I make a run for it, if so, where would I go? …

The barn door had probably been opened by the wind. I decided then and there that I would not allow paranoia to get the best of me again. If they were to come for me one day, there was really nothing I could do about it, so it would not be constructive to worry.

Thu June 2 I decided to begin crushing the fertiliser using four Electrolux blenders.

Fri June 10 To my great disappointment, nothing happened when I did the fire test! What the hell, how is that possible, it was completely dry and that particular batch was manufactured perfectly according to specifications!?? I started to have serious doubts and my morale and motivation started to shatter.

Sat June 11 I prayed for the first time in a very long time today. I explained to God that unless he wanted the Marxist-Islamic alliance and the certain Islamic takeover of Europe to completely annihilate European Christendom within the next hundred years, he must ensure that the warriors fighting for the preservation of European Christendom prevail.

Mon June 13 I lit the fuse, went out of range and waited. It was probably the longest 10 seconds I have ever endured? …

BOOM! The detonation was successful!!! :-)

Sat 18 June I woke up at 11.00 and checked my phone. There was an SMS sent 09.30 from Tonje, the owner's girlfriend. She said she was ON HER WAY UP to pick up some equipment from the barn!!! OMFG; considering the fact that it's a 2-2.5 hour's drive from the capital she would be here in about half an hour!!! She has a large storage room in the back of the barn and she would need to pass all my [equipment] to get there. I called her up. Luckily she hadn't left yet. Thank God! I fed her a story which resulted in us agreeing that she would come on Monday around 20.00.

Wed June 22 Drove to town and bought three portions of Chinese takeaway. Beef with noodles and fried rice, yummy!

Wed 29 June Completed last batch … Watching Spartacus: Blood & Sand, a brilliant series :-) It's my favourite one, in addition to Rome, Battlestar Galactica, Caprica and Stargate Universe! <3. The Shield, Dexter, Sleeper Cell, Vampire Diaries and True Blood are good as well. All the series adhere to the multiculti ideology, but such is life for the time being.

Thu June 30 This house is infested with beetles. Just now I was about to reach for a chocolate in my goodie bag and a beetle had crawled in, FFS … I haven't slept at all since yesterday, trying to complete the last purification.

Sat July 2 Going over the travel route for both plan A and B for the upcoming event, familiarising myself with the driving routes and plotting in destinations in my Garmin GPS. I went to the gym and did a really hard workout … I took my mom out to dinner this evening.

Sun July 3 Noticing that the testosterone withdrawal is contributing to increased aggressiveness. As I'm now continuing with 50mg it will most likely pass. I wish it would be possible to somehow manipulate this effect to my advantage later on when it is needed.

Mon July 4 Updated log for a few hours. I then began the preparations for a trip to extract the armour cache I had dug down a year ago in July 2010. I am really concerned that someone has somehow found the cache.

Tue July 5 Replaced most of the .223 HP [hollow point] rounds with SP [soft point] rounds … more suitable for the purpose of inflicting maximum damage to vermin.

Mon July 11 Considering the fact that I am currently working on the most dreadful task, I bought a lot of exquisite food and candy today. I really need to recharge my batteries.

Mon July 18 After dark, I loaded everything in the van … Exhausted!!! Good workout though. I'm drinking 4 x protein shakes per day now to maximise muscle generation. At this point I should be fearful, but I'm just too exhausted to think much about it.

Tue July 19 Started packing down gear … Went to a higher quality restaurant in the southern town and feasted. Yummy! I've been working extremely hard the last few days and I'm completely exhausted.

Thu July 21 Drive 11 hours straight to Kautokeino, sort out cheap hotel.

Fri July 22 Initiate blasting sequences at predetermined sites. If all fails, I will initiate my career with a private security firm in conflict zones to acquire maximum funds in the shortest period of time to repay the debts. First coming costume party this autumn, dress up as a police officer. Arrive with insignias :-) Will b awesome as people will be very astonished :-) Side note; imagine if law enforcement would visit me the next days. They would probably get the wrong idea and think I was a terrorist, LOL :o) … The old saying; ''If you want something done, then do it yourself'', is as relevant now as it was then. More than one ''chef'' does not mean that you will do tasks twice as fast. In many cases, you could do it all yourself, it will just take a little more time. AND, without taking unacceptable risks. The conclusion is undeniable.

I believe this will be my last entry. It is now Fri July 22, 12.51.

Sincere regards, Andrew Berwick/Justiciar Knight Commander/Knights Templar Europe/Knights Templar Norway

Glenn Beck compares Norway victims to Hitler Youth - And ANCAPS Agree!

Norwegians have hit back at former Fox News presenter and Tea Party darling Glenn Beck, after he compared the country's shooting victims to the Hitler Youth in a radio show overnight.

In a monologue on the syndicated radio show The Glenn Beck Program, the conservative commentator said: "There was a shooting at a political camp, which sounds a little like, you know, the Hitler Youth or whatever. I mean, who does a camp for kids that's all about politics? Disturbing."

Most serious act of violence that has happened in Norway since the end of World War II 0726glenn_beck_169-408x264

The Hitler Youth - Hitler Jugend - was an organisation set up by Adolf Hitler in the 1920s to indoctrinate young Germans in Nazi ideology.

Sixty-eight people died after self-confessed Norwegian "crusader" Anders Behring Breivik opened fire at the ruling Labour Party youth camp on Utoya island, which was attended by 600 people, on Friday.

Eight people died after the bombing of Norway's government headquarters in Oslo on the same day. The Labour Party is seen as left-leaning.

A former press secretary to Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg slammed Beck's statements as a "new low", saying they were "ignorant" and "extremely hurtful".

"Young political activists have gathered at Utoya for over 60 years to learn about and be part of democracy, the very opposite of what the Hitler Youth was about," Torbjorn Eriksen told London's Daily Telegraph.

"Glenn Beck's comments are ignorant, incorrect and extremely hurtful."

Another Labour member and political scientist, Frank Aarebrot, told Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet it was "just frightening that there are people who are doing such terrible ... stories like this".

The worst thing is that some would see Beck's comments as objective reporting, he said, labelling Beck a "vulgar propagandist".

Tea Party supporters in the United States have hosted their own political youth camps, the Telegraph reported.

Beck also said later in his radio commentary that he had warned about such an attack.

Citing Geert Wilders, the anti-Islam Dutch politician, Beck said Europe was having problems with radical Islam and its cities were being overrun.

"That's what Geert Wilders has been saying - that political correctness and multiculturalism is killing Europe, and he's right."

He added that Breivik was not right-wing in the American sense of the word.

"This guy, the shooter, is from the right-wing, different than our right-wing. It is still big government," Beck said, calling Breivik a "madman" and comparing him to the late al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

Breivik told a Norwegian court yesterday that he had killed the youths and set off the bomb in Oslo to send a message against multiculturalism and the government's moves towards "Marxism".

Beck made various references to Nazis and the Holocaust as a commentator on Fox News. Last year, he said billionaire philanthropist George Soros was a "Jewish boy helping send the Jews to the death camps".
