| A foundation is stepping in where governments fall short and it is saving lives. Tim Barlass reports.
KRISTIE MUNNELLY was rendered speechless when she realised her son Lachlan had stopped breathing as he lay on her lap.
The two-year-old was rushed to hospital, where his life was saved through the use of a video laryngoscope donated by the Humpty Dumpty Foundation.
A story such as Lachlan's makes a fitting tribute to late Sydney nurse Michelle Beets, who dedicated her life to saving others. The charity donated the equipment in memory of the Royal North Shore Hospital senior nurse, whose throat was cut in an attack last year.
