| The third-largest cocaine haul in Australian history has landed a major blow against serious and organised crime in Australia, says Home Affairs Minister Brendan O'Connor.
Nearly half-a-tonne of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $160 million destined for Australia's streets, has been seized in Brisbane.
The seizure followed a tip-off from US authorities, which Mr O'Connor said showed how important "good, working relationships" with overseas counterparts were to tackle the "transnational challenge" of organised crime. Advertisement: Story continues below
"What we do know is, that if we want to dismantle organised crime we must attack the money flow, we must attack their income source," he told AAP.
