| A Dutch court on Wednesday denied a request by a pro-Moluccan group to have Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono arrested on alleged human rights violations in Indonesia when in the Netherlands.
"The requests have been denied." a spokeswoman of the court in the Hague said.
Yudhoyono postponed his state visit to the Netherlands on Tuesday over concerns he might be arrested despite guarantees from Dutch authorities he would enjoy immunity as a head of state. [IDLDE6940L7]
Law experts in the Netherlands had expected the court to deny the arrest request because it would violate international law.
