| A far north Queensland truck driver faces a legal bill in excess of $10,000 after he unsuccessfully challenged a $250 speeding ticket.
In June 2006, Steven Edward Osgood was given a speeding ticket after his truck was caught travelling at 93 kilometres an hour in an 80 kph zone on the Kennedy Highway near Kuranda.
A Cairns magistrate fined him $250 and ordered he pay more than $7,000 in court costs after a three day trial.
