| DEA special Agent Waldo Santiago reported that the most wanted man in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic was captured and taken into custody on Saturday, July 17, 2010. He was caught with two other men after trying to evade officers conducting surveillance. He led officers on a high-speed chase in Santurce, a neighborhood in San Juan, Puerto Rico, before being captured.
Jose David Figueroa Agosto, 46-years-old, is better known as Jr. Capsula. U.S. Marshals Service agent Antonio Torres said that when he was cornered and asked for his name, he replied, ‘Everybody knows who I am.’ And indeed they do in the Caribbean. He has been described as the ‘Pablo Escobar of the Caribbean’. Escobar was a notorious Colombian drug-lord who was killed in a gun battle with police in 1993 in Columbia.
