If you thought you were busy yesterday, spare a thought for the Sunshine Coast grandmother who could not spare a couple of moments for a phone call.

The woman, obviously run ragged by errands and family commitments, was not able to stop to have a chat about the $2 million she won in the Oz 7 Lotto draw on Tuesday night.

She took her ticket, purchased in Landsborough, to a newsagent yesterday morning and was told she had just scored the massive windfall.

The lucky local "started screaming and carrying on" when told of her win by Golden Casket but said she was too busy to hear the finer details.

"That’s wonderful news but I really can’t talk right now," she said. "Can you please call me back later today?"
