| Subject: Via Anarcho-Capitalists' Forum: Libertarian hopes to make Pennsylvania free again when he wins special election in May Tue Apr 13, 2021 10:44 pm | |
| Earlier this year, York County resident Tim McMaster was planning his first election to be for a seat as a Conewago Township supervisor. But the death of state Sen. Dave Arnold in January changed those plans.
"I'm not a career politician, and up until the beginning of 2021, I never had aspirations to become a politician," he said. "I largely abhorred politicians...but I reached a point as a concerned citizen, that has two kids now who are teenagers, that I couldn't in good conscious really do nothing."
Now the information technology specialist and farmer is running as the Libertarian candidate for the vacant 48th state Senate seat in a special election on May 18. The district includes Lebanon County and parts of York and Dauphin counties.
