| Subject: Great! BBC licence amnesty: Inspection officers are to stop prosecutions and home visits due to coronavirus lockdown Mon Mar 30, 2020 6:31 pm | |
| TV licensing officers are no longer being sent to homes and letters chasing payments have stopped in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.
Prosecutions have been paused and the BBC’s licence fee collection division has stopped writing to unlicensed addresses.
The moves come after the broadcaster revealed that it was going to delay scrapping free TV licences for millions of over-75s.
