Is it possible to have too much land?
The Land Report has issued its 2014 list of the people with the biggest land holdings in the country and the numbers are dizzying.

This list is so incredible that Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos is 25th on this list, with a mere 290,000 acres.
The top landowner on the list is John Malone, chairman of Liberty Media, a gigantic entertainment, communication and media company, who has 2.2 million acres of land in the United States.
Malone beat out multimedia and entertainment giant, and friend, Ted Turner for the top spot. Turner was second on the list with just over 2 million acres -- only.
Well represented on this list are massive acreages of Texas land and historic Texas ranching families.
