Bali Nine drug smuggler Renae Lawrence will not face a murder conspiracy charge but has already been moved out of Kerobokan prison after being found with a knife and text messages discussing a murder plot against a prison guard.

The other female prisoner she was texting was found in possession of a commando knife after a search of the women's cells.

The only female Bali Nine member and, until now a model prisoner, Lawrence was moved out of Kerobokan prison on Saturday afternoon to another prison in Negara-Jembrana in western Bali.

She is the only Bali Nine member to have been removed from Kerobokan.

Kerobokan prison governor Gusti Ngurah Wiratna said a cell search on Saturday had revealed a Blackberry messenger chat between Lawrence and another prisoner, Sonia Gonzales.

"They talked about killing a female guard using a knife. We found the knife when we searched Sonia, a commando knife", Mr Wiratna said.
