An illegal prostitution bust in Brisbane's inner city has netted 10 people, police say.

Officers swooped on four properties in Fortitude Valley, Kangaroo Point and in the south Brisbane suburb of Springwood yesterday and on Wednesday, in covert operations dubbed Hotel Grail and Hotel Radical.

Four woman and six men, aged from 22 to 40, have been arrested and charged with a total of 22 offences including prostitution, proceeds of crime and money laundering offences. They appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court yesterday.

Police will allege the group was operating organised, illegal prostitution services "under the guise of a sole independent operator and escort services."

About $3,000 in cash, documents and mobile phones were also seized in the raids.

Detective Acting Superintendent Darryl Charleson said police were concerned about the safety and wellbeing of illegal sex workers and warned the covert operations would continue.

"This operation was successful in dismantling two well organised networks and shows that we are committed to apprehending those who profit from illegal prostitution," he said.
