It has been touted as a "chill pill", but there is little to suggest magnesium tablets do anything to benefit your mental health, the world's largest evidence review of nutritional supplements in psychiatry has found.
Researchers from Western Sydney University's NICM Health Research Institute, who conducted the review, said there was a "lack of compelling evidence" that magnesium supplements assist the treatment of any mental disorder.
