Subject: An aspiring political tyrant: Iowa Senator Claire Celsi gets snippy with 2nd Amendment defender Sat Jul 13, 2019 9:20 pm
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
This is the 2nd Amendment. It was written very clearly, but because of its simplicity, many progressives spin the clarity as a means of forcing false interpretations to empower their gun control agenda. Case-in-point, Iowa state Senator Claire Celsi.
Here’s thread on Reddit discussing her snippy conversation with a 2nd Amendment defender:
As 2nd Amendment defender Colion Noir noted in his most recent video, Claire Celsi is an aspiring political tyrant. It’s not nice to generalize, but any politician who strives to remove any of our Constitutional rights, including the 2nd Amendment, is an aspiring political tyrant. Otherwise, they’d do their jobs of protecting the Constitution, the best protection the people have from an oppressive government. What many Americans don’t understand is the Constitution was written and amended to its current form today in order to protect the people FROM government. There are exceptions; the 17th Amendment was a populist ploy that made no sense before and makes even less sense today. But as a whole the Constitution has done what it was intended to do. The keystone that keeps the whole thing from falling apart under the weight of an increasingly dominant Washington DC is the 2nd Amendment. Without it, all other rights are subject to arbitrary change. I sincerely hope this is the last time we hear the name “Claire Celsi” spoken of in national news. She does not deserve a larger platform and clearly has no place advancing in government. But in case she does, remember this thread.
