| Subject: So much for 'state protection': A quarter of OZschwitz child abuse complaints receive 'no ongoing oversight' Sun Jun 09, 2019 6:50 pm | |
| A massive increase in reports of child abuse, sexual abuse and neglect to the NSW Ombudsman has resulted in over a quarter of reports not being examined by the organisation, data shows.
Legislation requires the Ombudsman must be told of so-called “reportable allegations” of suspected sexual offences, sexual misconduct, psychological harm, assault, ill-treatment or neglect by employees of various government organisations, including schools, hospitals, and police.
