| Subject: Funny: Strip Club Listed in Super Bowl Host Committee's Vendor Guide Thu Oct 26, 2017 10:05 pm | |
| A Minnesota strip club was approved and listed by the Super Bowl committee as a recommended vendor for companies providing services and products to those coming to town to enjoy the festivities surrounding the National Football League (NFL) championship game.
A local newspaper, The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, spotted the strip club’s listing in the directory and contacted the host committee: - Quote :
- “A Twin Cities strip club was until Tuesday included as a diverse supplier on the Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee's Business Connect Resource Guide, a list of more than 400 women- and ethnic-minority-owned businesses that was given to the NFL and other companies to provide services and products needed for this February's Super Bowl.
“King of Diamonds Gentlemen's Club, a woman-owned establishment in Inver Grove Heights, was listed as a vendor in the food and catering category.” The Host Committee says the strip club was listed by accident and that, as of Tuesday, the committee has pulled the listing from its online version of the directory." Debra Kalsbeck, the owner of the business, said she didn’t finish all the paperwork required by the application process to be in the Super Bowl LII Business Connect program, the NFL's diverse-supplier initiative. Kalsbeck says she’d never even been told she’d made the guide. "Hopefully they’ve already printed" the directory, she said. The Business Journal reports that, indeed, “The resource guide was sent out and listed online this summer.”
